Mitch Temple

Executive Director

Mitch Temple is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) holding two graduate degrees in Ministry and Marriage and Family Therapy. He has more than 30 years of experience serving in churches, nonprofits, and the family-entertainment sector. He has authored or co-authored five books on marriage and family. Since 2012, Mitch has served as Executive Director (and Co-founder) of The Fatherhood CoMission. He has served as a Family and Marketing Consultant for Christian and family films such as FIREPROOF, COURAGEOUS, WAR ROOM, THE STAR, HACKSAW RIDGE, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, and many more. He is the Associate Producer for the Kendrick Brothers’ SHOW ME THE FATHER documentary. Mitch has been married to Rhonda since 1982. They have two grown children, who are both married, and four growing grandchildren.

Dr. Clarence Shuler

Chairman of the Board

Dr. Shuler is the President/CEO of BLR: Building Lasting Relationships. He and Brenda have been married nearly 40 years. They conduct marriage, men’s, women’s, and singles seminars internationally. In January 2020, they received FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember Marriage Getaway Speakers of the Year Award. Clarence speaks to youth, college students and singles about friendships, dating, sex, pornography and sexting. Dr. Gary Chapman and he speak together at The Five Love Languages, Date Night and Life-Changing Cross-Cultural Friendships events. They co-authored, Choose Greatness: 11 Wise Decisions Brave Young Men Make and Life-Changing Cross-Cultural Friendships: How You Can Help Heal Racial Divides, One Relationship at a Time. His newest book is Finding Hope in a Dark Place: Facing Loneliness, Depression and Anxiety with the Power of Grace. His Maximizing Difference (diversity) training is in constant demand. Dr. Jeffrey Shears

Vice Chair of the Board

Jeffrey Shears is a joint-appointed Professor in the Social Work Departments at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University & UNC Greensboro, where he is also the Director of the Joint Masters Social Work Program (JMSW). Dr. Shears earned his BSW and Masters in Education Administration from North Carolina A&T State University and his PhD in Social Work from the University of Denver. Dr. Shears was a fatherhood research site coordinator with the Early Head Start Research & Evaluation Project Fatherhood Study—one of the first large-scale research studies examining fathering in low-income communities. His focus on fathers has expanded to examining fathering in blended families, intergenerational fathering, and fathers’ impact on daughters. Dr. Shears has an extensive list of academic publications on fathering featured in national and international refereed journals.

Brian Blomberg

Treasurer

Brian is the Development Officer of New Life Ministries, a Christian counseling and addiction-recovery ministry that offers hope and restoration for people in life’s darkest places. At New Life, he is responsible for business and donor development. He also serves on the board of the Fatherhood CoMission, and on the men’s ministry vision committee for Southeast Christian Church in Parker, Colorado. Brian and Marnie have been married since 1987 and have three adult children.

Brian Doyle

Secretary

Brian is Founder and President of Iron Sharpens Iron, which has ministered directly to men for more than 20 years—equipping more than 600,000 at one-day men’s conferences across the nation. ISI equips church leaders to train men for spiritual leadership in the home, the church, and in the community. Brian is a widower who was married for more than 30 years to Barb; they have five children who are all following Jesus. Brian is now happily married to Debbie.

Bill Eyster

Member

Bill has more than 30 years of executive level leadership experience in operations and business development in both the for-profit and not-for-profit environments. He has worked with Pratt & Whitney, a leading jet-engine manufacturer; served at FamilyLife, a non-profit organization devoted to effectively developing Godly marriages and families; and most recently supported the development of a large Dental Service Organization (DSO). Bill received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and just recently completed a doctoral degree in Business Administration. Bill and his wife Tracey returned to their childhood community in Kentucky to care for aging parents in 2014. They have been married since 1986 and have two married adult children and their first grandchild.

Jeff Kemp

A well-loved son of Father God. Stacy’s husband amd tennis partner. Father of four married sons and Grampa to five. Shaped by a super-encouraging and mega-leader dad, Jack Kemp. Snuck into the NFL as a free agent from Dartmouth and quarterbacked for 11 years. Led Stronger Families, served at FamilyLife, and now at Fatherhood CoMission. Wrote “Facing The Blitz.” Champions fatherhood, manhood, and men’s friendship in Christ through Men Huddle. Soul Coach to CEOs at JeffKempTeam. A skiing, mountain-biking, and grampa maniac!

Stephen Kendrick

Member

Stephen Kendrick has dedicated his life to serving Jesus Christ and to making Him known around the world. He serves as a co-writer for the screenplays and books and as the producer for Kendrick Brothers’ films. Stephen has spoken to churches, conferences, and seminars around the nation, and has been interviewed by FOX and Friends, CNN, ABC World News Tonight, The Washington Post, and other media outlets. He is a co-founder and board member of the Fatherhood CoMission. He graduated from Kennesaw State University and attended seminary before being ordained into ministry. Stephen and his wife Jill live in Albany, Georgia, with their six children. They are active members of Sherwood Church.
