Chris is the Connections Pastor for Northpointe Community Church in DeWitt, MI which means he does ‘all things’ groups, front end (Welcome Team, Guest Experience, Security/Medical etc) as well as developing on ramps for folks connecting at Northpointe.
He is also the Chaplain for Dewitt Township Police and Fire Departments. As Chaplain, Chris’ focus is on the mental and spiritual health of the officers and department. This involves developing relationships with dept. personnel (Police Ride along, Fire Dept. trainings, etc), providing resources and trainings in mental health issues, and leading Critical Incident Stress Debriefings. Basically they gave him a badge and now he gets to live out his Police/Fire dreams!
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education, as well as two Master's Degrees from Liberty Theological Seminary in Religion and Religious Education. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
He has been married to his wife Emily for 26 years and has 2 (nearly) grown daughters, Rebekah (23), and Danielle (21). So he typically needs a good dose of testosterone which explains his passion for firearms and grilled meat.
